Meta has launched Muse, a personal AI agent aimed at putting AI in everyone's hands, part of a multi-billion-dollar strategy overhaul to catch up with OpenAI, Anthropic and Google.
- Capabilities: given a goal, Muse can work autonomously—opening a browser, filling forms, shopping, emailing, planning trips, even negotiating on the user's behalf; long tasks keep running in the background, checking back when approval (e.g. a purchase) is needed.
