OpenAI researchers supervising parallel agents: 4+ concurrent workflows jump from 1/3 to 3/4

OpenAI's internal research workflow has shifted from individual AI assistance toward researchers supervising multiple simultaneous agent workflows. In April, only about a third of researchers ran 4+ concurrent agent workflows; by mid-August it was roughly three-quarters — evidence that knowledge work's long-standing bottleneck of human serial execution is giving way to parallel multi-agent supervision.
