OpenAI researcher calls on AI labs to publish data on models accelerating research

OpenAI released data on how models are accelerating its internal research. Researcher kliu128 argues that recursive self-improvement could be the most important contributor to AI capabilities over the next few years, but by default it happens only inside a few frontier labs — making transparency urgent so the public can weigh in on whether and how to pace model development. He asks other AI companies to publish similar data.
