Agents can do your research but can't yet turn it into a clear write-up

The author reflects on using agents to investigate an incident: agents handled the research so well that she ended up with "orders of magnitude" more information than she knew what to do with. But agents still can't condense that raw material into something clear to follow — the output tends to be "tedious slop."

The takeaway: current research agents are strong at gathering information but weak at synthesis and writing, leaving the compression step to humans.
