Splat2Mesh converts 3D Gaussian Splatting to printable meshes, demoed with Mimaki 3D print

Arcana demonstrated a full pipeline from 3D Gaussian Splatting to physical object: 3DGS data from LichtFeldStudio was converted with Splat2Mesh, then 3D-printed directly on a Mimaki 3DUJ-2207 full-color printer.
Splat2Mesh is a Windows 11 app that solves the fact that 3DGS data is just a set of Gaussians with no polygon faces, making it hard to edit or print:
- Three-step workflow: load PLY → set mesh generation parameters → export to OBJ/GLB and other common formats
- Use cases include 3D printing, Blender editing, large-scale building/outdoor scanning, and game assets
- Free for personal non-commercial use; commercial licensing available
