Adding azimuth/zenith channels to RL policy reduces compute
yacineMTB · x · 2026-08-27
Shared a specific technical practice for RL control policies.
Method & Effect:
- Modified Channels: Added extra channels for azimuth and zenith for the next frame capture, instead of only controlling robot actuator angles.
- Result: The method actually works.
- Benefit: Reduces compute required for deployment and increases FPS for frame grabbing from global shutter cameras by scanning fewer rows.
