Anthropic Inks $9.1B Deal for 191 MW of Compute Power Through 2048

Anthropic has signed a massive $9.1 billion agreement with Bitcoin mining firm Riot Platforms. Under the 20-year contract, Riot will provide 191 MW of critical IT load for Anthropic's AI computing needs, extending through 2048.
The delivery schedule aims for 96 MW to be online by the end of 2027, with the full 191 MW capacity delivered by the end of 2028. This highlights the enormous, long-term capital commitments AI leaders are making for compute infrastructure.
