Twitch lets streamers opt out from Amazon's AI training data

The Verge AI · rss · 2026-08-13

Twitch has introduced a new opt-out setting, allowing users to prevent their platform content from being used to train Amazon's generative AI models.

When opted out, a user's streams, VODs, clips, and chats will be excluded from future text, audio, image, or video generation model training. However, basic AI-supported features like captions and safety tools will continue to function. Notably, if a user participates in another streamer's chat, the host's opt-out preference will govern whether that chat data can be used for training.
