Maharashtra Government Deploys Sarvam AI for 2,500 Officials

Indian AI startup Sarvam AI has partnered with the Government of Maharashtra to deploy Indus, its sovereign AI workspace, across state departments.
Around 2,500 officials will use the AI tool for daily tasks, including policy research, drafting documents, translation, summarization, data analysis, and processing scanned records in 22 languages. The system runs entirely on secure, audited infrastructure located within India to keep government data domestic.
