Reddit Breaks Promise, Forces Login Wall on Logged-Out Desktop Users

Reddit is gradually rolling out an unavoidable login pop-up for logged-out desktop users. It triggers when users scroll the homepage or open certain posts.
Notably, in June, Reddit stated that its anti-scraping login requirement 'will not impact logged-out browsing on Reddit.' The company has not yet explained what caused this reversal in policy.
