Asimov Open-Source Humanoid vs. NEO: Builders vs. Consumers
Scobleizer · x · 2026-08-12
Robert Scoble discussed the different positioning of Asimov and 1X NEO robots. Asimov's official account responded that while NEO is a polished, out-of-the-box commercial product, Asimov 1 focuses on extreme open-source customizability down to the BOM (Bill of Materials). Users don't even have to buy it directly; they can source all parts and build it themselves. Asimov aims to provide an open foundation for thousands of builders to collaborate and create better robots.
