FEAGINE Launches Soft Robot Matrix and Cross-Embodiment Foundation Model Fi0

FEAGINE introduced the world's first mass-produced rope-driven soft embodiment matrix (A01, A02, A03) alongside its first-generation cross-embodiment foundation model, Fi0. The startup argues that general-purpose robots do not necessarily require a humanoid body, advocating for soft embodiments to better adapt to complex environments and human interactions.
The three robotic arms scale up in segments, DOFs, and payload, supporting mainstream ecosystems like ROS. The accompanying Fi0 model aims to reuse task knowledge across different physical bodies. Core mechanisms include SkillEncoder (converting human demonstrations into skill context), Cross-view WorldEncoder (aligning human-robot perspectives), and Embodiment Graph (structuring robot morphology). For novel tasks, Fi0 can use a single human demonstration via the Ego headband to generate body-adaptive actions during inference without requiring parameter retraining.
