SPAR Opens Recruitment for Automated AI Safety Data Research Project
austinc3301 · x · 2026-08-10
SPAR has opened applications for a Fall project titled 'Differential Data for Automated AI Safety Research,' mentored by Alec Harris.
The initiative aims to pilot a low-overhead system for collecting data from AI safety organizations to train future models to conduct better safety research. The core challenge is that gathering this internal data raises privacy concerns and creates substantial overhead.
Mentees will design consent processes, build collection tools like Claude plugins, and launch a pilot. Applications close on August 18.
