Anthropic's CLI tool Claude Code version 2.1.224 introduces self-hosted environments, alongside several workflow enhancements.
- Self-Hosted Runner: Available for Team and Enterprise plans, the claude self-hosted-runner command turns local machines or containers into compute nodes accessible by Claude Code web, mobile, and desktop sessions.
- Plugin Sourcing: Users can now install plugins directly from a zip archive over HTTPS without needing git or npm, with optional SHA-256 pinning.
- CLI Controls: Added a cancel-and-confirm step and exposed numerous environment variables for advanced configurations, including proxy settings, Git verification bypasses, and lifecycle hooks.
