Introducing Prime Agent: A Self-Modifying RLM Harness for Autonomous Tasks

PrimeIntellect has introduced Prime Agent, a Reinforcement Language Model (RLM) harness built for coding and long-running autonomous tasks.
Key design features of the framework include:
- Programmatic tool calling: Uses code as a universal language to interact with the environment, balancing expressiveness with token efficiency.
- Flexible state management: Passes context as a variable, supports multi-agent messaging, and allows the agent to self-modify its harness state.
Additionally, the dev team shared a fun detail from their design process: after debating whether to use bash or python for the main REPL, they found that ipython offered the best of both worlds for agent-driven execution.
