OpenAI announced it is pushing the model frontier across cost efficiency, capability, and speed by reducing API prices. Effective immediately, GPT-5.6 Luna's price is reduced by 80% and GPT-5.6 Terra by 20%, alongside a faster API option for GPT-5.6 Sol. The lower costs for Luna and Terra are also reflected in usage counting for Codex and ChatGPT Work, extending user capacity.
