NVIDIA launches Open Secure AI Alliance with Microsoft, Hugging Face and more

NVIDIA says defenders need an open AI ecosystem to keep pace with attackers, and it is launching the Open Secure AI Alliance with Microsoft, Hugging Face, Palo Alto Networks, Salesforce, SAP, Red Hat, Cloudflare and many others.
The accompanying statement argues that:
- attackers already have frontier AI,
- closed models were insufficient during the Hugging Face incident for essential forensics,
- an open-weight frontier model helped contain the intrusion.
The message is that security teams need access to both open and closed frontier models, amplified by a broader community.
