OpenAI and Anthropic both shipped voice-mode updates on the same day, but the reaction was lukewarm.
- OpenAI’s ChatGPT Voice is now in the desktop app and can control the computer plus multiple agents in ChatGPT Work or Codex using voice.
- Anthropic said Claude’s voice mode now runs on more capable models and has reached users outside the previously connected mid-conversation flow.
