Elon’s AI stack spans chips, clusters, inference software and space compute
XFreeze · x · 2026-07-22
Elon is portrayed as building the full AI stack in-house: Colossus 2, a gigawatt-scale training cluster; Tesla’s AI5 chip; inference software mapped to Nvidia GB300; and even space-based compute ambitions.
The quoted argument is that owning and hyper-optimizing the compute layer—especially custom chips and data centers—could give a company lower cost and faster delivery of intelligence than model-only players.
