Mihika Kapoor, the Figma product lead who incubated FigJam and Figma Slides from internal hackathons, has joined AI startup Simile (@simileai) as Head of Product.
Simile simulates human behavior so companies can hear from the people their decisions affect—"the voice of these humans in the rooms they are otherwise not in," as Kapoor puts it. In a podcast interview she discusses adding "show your work" to "simplify" as a core design principle, building the brand around the word "human," and choosing a pixel-game town aesthetic for the early-stage company.
