The SAIR Foundation (founded by Terence Tao) has redesigned its Mathathon Challenge. Teams receive $1.5M in open-source compute to work on novel expositions, generalizations, and connections to other fields.
The event runs in two rounds: a 40-hour in-person round on November 13–15 with presentation sessions, followed by a two-month virtual math collaboration period pairing judges with their favorite teams.
