Musk: Competitive models need GPUs, data, and distribution

Elon Musk says a competitive foundation model depends on three things: lots of GPUs, stable and coherent training, and unique access to data. He adds that distribution also matters to some degree—how people actually encounter the AI.
He argues the industry has largely exhausted high-quality human-generated pretraining data, so the next frontier is no longer simply more human text.
