Codex Interaction Update Improves UX
op7418 · x · 2026-07-17
This update covers the smoother Codex interaction changes rolled out last night, highlighting three main tweaks:
- The top-left toggle changed from Work / Codex to ChatGPT / Codex
- Chat history is now integrated into the left-side "Recent Chats," with filtering available for standard chats and ChatGPT Work tasks
- The top navigation is split into Chat and Work tabs, aligning the logic with the web and mobile versions
Overall, this update streamlines the switching between chat and workflows, bringing Codex's user path closer to the main ChatGPT app.
