This reply adds details to an embodied/tactile learning study: they found that ConvRNN with feedback connections is more robust in tactile representation learning compared to MLP/Transformer.

The context also explains that this work was a collaborative effort among multiple teams. The author mentions it is the first graduating project from the NeuroAgents lab and recommends checking out the related master's thesis report to understand how the research is biologically inspired.
