Bedrock Robotics Raises $600M Series C as Autonomous Excavators Do Paid Work on US Job Sites

Bedrock Robotics has secured a $600M Series C to accelerate commercial deployment. The startup retrofits existing heavy equipment with sensors and software, and fully autonomous excavators are now performing paid construction work on active US job sites without operators in the cab.
Major construction firm Haydon plans to deploy the tech across data centers, advanced manufacturing, water infrastructure, and healthcare projects. Turing Award winner David Patterson argues this shows the shift from physical work to superintelligence will move faster than most expect.
