Microsoft AI has released its latest image editing model, MAI-Image-2.7-Preview, which ranks second globally with an Elo of 1193 on Artificial Analysis's AA-Image-Editing v2.1 leaderboard — trailing only OpenAI's GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst — making it the closest competitor to OpenAI in image editing today.
