Krea 3 image editing model opens beta: 2K edits in 8 seconds, taking on Big Tech rivals

On October 15–16, Krea opened Beta testing for Krea 3, its image editing model. It is the company's second fully in-house image model after Krea 2 in May, built for batch image editing. Krea calls it a new frontier in image editing, with quality benchmarked against Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image 2.5.

Why it matters

• After hands-on testing, @Angaisb concluded Krea 3 matches Nano Banana Pro in quality, runs about 4x faster at a quarter of the cost, and noted that independent labs can now compete with big tech at this level
