Krea 3 ships: 2K native image edits in under 8 seconds at $0.06 per image
lmoroney · x · 2026-10-16
Krea launched Krea 3 on October 15, an image editing model built to remove the speed-vs-quality tradeoff for production work in e-commerce, film, and advertising.
- Speed and price: most edits finish end-to-end in under 8 seconds at native 2K; pricing is $0.06 per 2K image and $0.03 at 1K — versus roughly 75 seconds and $0.25 per edit for prior workflows
- Consistency: change a product's scene and the label stays sharp; faces and outfits stay the same person across edits; up to 6 reference images per edit
- Live on krea.ai for its 30 million users, plus APIs via fal, Hedra, Together AI, Nous Research, OpenRouter, and Replicate
- Co-founder and CEO Víctor Perez: editing is already in production across commerce and advertising, but speed has held back its potential
