Apple Launches iPhone 18 Pro and First Foldable iPhone Duo
Apple held its most anticipated launch in years, officially announcing the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max plus the long-rumored first foldable, the iPhone Duo, starting at $1,999 and shipping October 23. The iPhone 18 Pro features a 2nm A20 Pro chip with a claimed 40% GPU gain, built for on-device AI with a hybrid local-plus-cloud "intelligent personal hub" approach.
Confirmed
- iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max: 2nm A20 Pro, 6-core CPU (2 desktop-class performance cores + 4 efficiency cores), new 7-core GPU, 32-core Neural Engine, 40% GPU improvement, next-gen vapor chamber cooling
- iPhone Duo: first foldable iPhone, from $1,999, ships October 23 (pre-orders October 16 per blogger 卡尔的AI沃茨), Apple Pencil support, huge inner display, side TouchID — biggest form-factor change since iPhone X
- Four new AI features: Siri can read the screen and take actions, answer with personal context from Messages/Mail/Photos, and solve problems via camera; 卡尔的AI沃茨 judged some genuinely delivered while others merely caught up with Android
- AirPods 5: earbud-free design yet with ANC, stem volume control, live translation, no price hike — dubbed the standout by 卡尔的AI沃茨, who also highlighted iPhone 18 Pro Max battery life
