- Apple Watch Series 12 becomes an ambient AI device: senses surroundings, transcribes recent audio, generates daily AI summaries, plus better health tracking and Readiness features.
- Also: iPhone 18 Pro variable-aperture camera, more compute, better cooling; AirPods 5 with better ANC at a lower price; Watch Ultra 4 new chip and battery.
- Frustration: full Siri AI still won't launch in Europe on iPhone/iPad/Watch.
- Thesis: Apple doesn't need to win the frontier model race — making AI private, contextual, multimodal, and always-available on devices people carry could matter more than benchmarks.
