ARIA founding chair Matt Clifford steps down over new Anthropic role

Matthew Clifford, founding chair of the UK's Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA), has announced he is stepping down after completing his first full term (about four years), to avoid conflicts between ARIA's work and his new role at Anthropic. He will remain in post until 6 November to support the transition and launch the search for a new chair.
