Figure Launches Index, World's Largest Robot Dataset, Pledging $1B Over 12 Months

On August 26, Figure founder Brett Adcock announced that the robotics data platform Index has officially launched out of stealth, billing it as the world's largest and most diverse robot training dataset. It aims to solve the problem that the data needed to scale general-purpose robots cannot be obtained from the internet.
