Study: 3g Daily Creatine for 4 Weeks Improved Cognition in Women, Most in Older Adults
2C_ornot2C · x · 2026-11-09
A new study in Biological Research for Nursing randomized 48 women (26 young, 22 older) to 28 days of 3g/day creatine monohydrate or placebo. Supplementation improved several cognitive measures vs placebo — most consistently visual/auditory reaction time, inhibitory control, and working memory — with generally stronger responses in older women, hinting at a role in mitigating age-related cognitive decline. The sharer takes 10g daily and was pleasantly surprised benefits appear at 3g; findings are exploratory and need hypothesis-driven confirmation trials.
