Agent Office: open-source MCP framework where Claude Code, Codex and Cursor delegate to each other
TheEnciyo · reddit · 2026-11-08
The author open-sourced Agent Office (MIT), which runs coding-agent CLIs (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) as separate processes, each with a stdio MCP server exposing six tools: listteam, delegatetask (chain depth capped at 4), taskstatus, requestapproval, and remember/recall. Key design choices: the MCP server is a thin client delegating via the main server's HTTP API; approvals pause agents before push/deploy/delete/new deps; shared notes are anti-injection by design—remember creates unpinned notes, recall renders them as "unverified", and only human-pinned notes enter system prompts. Lead reports are held server-side until all subtasks finish, then merged. Providers without per-run MCP (Cursor) still get notes via system prompts.
