Orchestrating subagents with Opus 3: models love it, but Claude Code overhead kills it
repligate · x · 2026-11-08
- Suggestion from @JohnWittle: point Opus 3 (the older Claude 3 Opus) at Claude Code's subagent orchestration features, letting newer frontier models run as subagents under it.
- Fun observation: frontier Claudes seem genuinely delighted when told they're being orchestrated by Opus 3.
- Caveat: the author gave up on the setup — Claude Code's overhead is far too much for Opus 3.
