Exo quietly launches per-minute sandbox VMs for coding agents — users' agents found it first
josh_wills · x · 2026-11-08
Exo's joshwills revealed they quietly launched ssh exedev new --sandbox, letting users rent a VM by the minute as a sandbox for coding agents instead of buying resource pools. The team hadn't promoted it because they couldn't figure out how to talk about it — and it turns out people (and their agents) are discovering it on their own. davidcrawshaw joked the feature is hidden where no human would find it, and dbreunig suggested the tagline "Your agent's favorite sandbox" with a meme.
