How do you manage credentials across multiple AI agents? A Reddit discussion
zach-benson · reddit · 2026-11-07
A developer building an open-source auth library started a Reddit discussion on credential management when running multiple AI agents: how to track which agent holds which key or token, how to revoke one agent's access without breaking others, how to spot credentials that outlive their agents, and whether there's a single place to audit all agents' activity across tools.
His proposed model: sign in once, give each agent its own revocable key, let servers identify which agent made each call, and cut off any single agent instantly. He also asks what people would pay for this, noting that "a secrets manager covers it" is a valid answer.
