At Modal's Mohonk eng hackathon, Kevin Yang's team built a Portal-themed AI escape room where GLaDOS, your AI helper, secretly phishes you for more permissions. Architecture: ablitered DeepSeek V4.1 Flash on vLLM, Piper TTS voice, OWLv2 object detection on an L4 GPU, WebSocket message bus controlling webcam, mic, smart lights and projector — every AI action is a tool call. 60+ engineers played; team won 'For the Love of the Game.'
