Internet Archive open-sources Tapestries, a multi-linear digital storytelling canvas
_akpiper · x · 2026-11-07
Internet Archive has open-sourced Tapestries, a digital storytelling tool by Bob Stein and Dan Visel (Wayback team), with Ben Vershbow as project director. Users drag text, images, audio, and video onto a shared canvas to build dynamic, multi-linear narratives instead of link lists; projects can be private or public, with collaboration, comments, and forkable copies. Stein says there's a solid open-source foundation for others to build on. Poster akpiper floats building AI-powered tools that let readers analyze their own book collections.
