Loop engineering: hand specs to the agent, humans only review the goal
dotey · x · 2026-11-07
The author argues loop engineering should make spec/task an internal detail of the Loop Agent, keeping human input discrete and raw. Intermediate artifacts (specs, PRDs, prototypes) are far less verifiable than code, so cutting them means investing compute closer to delivery. The one exception: goals. Let the agent draft goals after absorbing context, then humans just review alignment — cancel and re-chat if off. Commenters note Raft's workflow already skips spec review entirely for obvious requests.
