Dials: training-free 14KB steering sliders for MiniMax H3 video in ComfyUI

A new open tool called Dials enables training-free steering for MiniMax H3 (and Pika H3 Flex) in ComfyUI. Write two prompts differing in one quality (e.g. "stands still" vs "runs"), and Dials compresses the difference into a 14KB vector that acts as a strength slider — no training or rendering, just one text-encoder pass per prompt (1 minute). It stacks with LoRAs and other dials, with a library on Hugging Face.
How it started: the author first trained a "stillness" LoRA on 122 static photos, but it cost 20% of subject motion; every weight-editing approach landed on the same strength curve, prompting a move to prompt space instead. Measured motion dial: -2 gives near-frozen 0.05× cinemagraph output, +2 about 2.7× speedup.
Bonus rotoscoping workflow: LTX 2.5 Alpha LoRA + SAM3 masking + BiRefNet, layers saved as ProRes for editing or handing to an agent. The 1:57 demo was fully rendered locally with H3, narration voiced by H3 too.
