Next-gen Starlink laser links hit 100Tbps per satellite, fueling space GPU cluster speculation
PTrubey · x · 2026-11-07
Philip Johnston revealed next-gen Starlink satellites will carry 10Tbps laser links, 10 per satellite for 100Tbps total—up from 100Gbps. PTrubey argues Earth can't absorb that bandwidth, so it will mostly serve satellite-to-satellite connectivity to build a giant interconnected GPU cluster in orbit.
