Pair programming with Codex listening in: design debates yield simpler agent code
angadsg · x · 2026-11-07
Engineer angadsg shares a new pair-programming workflow: he and a colleague debate a design in a meeting room, implement it together in the same session, and let Codex listen to the entire conversation.
The results are notably better. Details that would never make it into meeting notes turn out to matter when writing the code — and Codex already has that context, producing implementations that avoid the common failure mode of agent code that "works but is far more complicated than it needs to be."
