Amid a brutal Asia-wide selloff driven by AI-related concerns, India was the only major Asian market to close in the green: the Nifty 50 rose 2.01%, its biggest single-day gain in seven months. Nikkei 225 fell 5.96%, KOSPI dropped 6.02%, Taiwan's TAIEX lost 4.50%, while Shanghai Composite (-1.10%) and Hang Seng (-1.27%) also fell. The original poster credits India's PM and FM for the relative strength.
