Enterprise AI: Judgment, Not Intelligence, Is the Scarce Resource
AI Engineer · youtube · 2026-11-06
Sid Pednekar, an AI and data executive in asset management, explains why most companies have AI but few see real results. Comparing two hypothetical firms, he identifies three things leaders do differently:
- Pick the right problem and invest deeply in a few high-value workflows instead of scattering pilots — reframing from "where can we add AI" to "which work should be redesigned," rather than bolting on Copilots everywhere.
- Build shared capabilities: standardize the core, personalize the edges, and break down silos — the enterprise org wasn't built for agents.
- Compound the advantage: feed every success and failure back into the system.
His core thesis: as intelligence gets cheap, judgment becomes the scarce resource.
