Stripe Link now works with nearly 400 agents, auto-optimizing payment per transaction

Dan Hill, product lead on Stripe's Link, shared details of its agentic commerce approach: Link now works with almost 400 agents.
The design targets all three sides — consumers want convenience plus guardrails, agents want high-conversion checkout anywhere, and businesses want to serve agent-driven customers. Link supports a broad set of payment methods: virtual cards (a pragmatic starting point), Stripe-native checkout, balance, and agentic tokens from Visa, Mastercard and Amex, automatically picking the best option per transaction.
