SGLang Says TPUv7 Now Competitive With GPUs for Long-Context Agentic Inference
ying11231 · x · 2026-11-06
The SGLang team amplified SemiAnalysis's report on Google TPU's inference push, revealing work with Google and radixark on a fully pipelined megakernel for Muse Spark Open, deeply optimized for long-context agentic workloads. On TPUv7, performance is now very competitive with popular GPU options, with more models coming to SGLang-TorchTPU.
SemiAnalysis's piece frames TPU as a viable alternative to NVIDIA's CUDA moat, touching on Kimi K3, Meta's Muse Spark Open, GLM5.3, and inference stacks like TorchTPU, vLLM, llm-d and Ray.
