AI overbuild skeptics miss the demand: agents, cyber AI and 0.1% enterprise penetration
builderjaydub · x · 2026-11-06
Laurelon Capital acknowledges reasons to be skeptical of AI overbuild and cyclicality, but lays out five demand-side facts the bears overlook:
- Agentic adoption really started in Q3, and each agent is an order of magnitude more token demand than an individual — always on and stackable
- Frontier cyber AI only recently went public and is now a permanent, escalatory tax on enterprises and nations with no ceiling
- The rest of the world, including China, trails the US in both buildout and penetration
- Anthropic's S-1 shows revenue at roughly 0.1% of enterprise AI spend — extremely low penetration for intelligence-as-a-service
- Robotics & autonomy are sub-scale but real
