AWS WAF AI traffic monetization adds Stripe fiat payouts, no stablecoin wallet needed
jeff_weinstein · x · 2026-11-06
AWS announced that WAF's AI traffic monetization now integrates with Stripe: publishers and API providers can collect stablecoin payments from AI bots and agents, settled in local currency directly to their Stripe balance—no crypto wallet required.
- Connect via Stripe Connect in the WAF console; existing pricing and agent policies work unchanged
- When an agent requests protected content, WAF returns HTTP 402 with accepted payment credential types; after payment, content is served ungated
- Revenue appears in the WAF console revenue analytics
- Free for all AWS WAF customers using CloudFront at all edge locations; standard WAF and Stripe fees apply
