Agentification killed the chatbot era's curiosity flywheel, argues dev

The author misses the chatbot era's "rebirth of curiosity": you could throw any hyper-specific question at an LLM and get a tailored answer, lowering the bar for asking and creating a flywheel of curiosity.
That loop is breaking down: first, decision paralysis over which app to open; second, post-trained agentic assistants aren't actually good answer engines — they lean toward executing tasks rather than answering. The author admits asking far fewer silly questions now, and finds that frustrating, while cautioning the experience may not be representative.
